Hello Everyone!
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
My name is Alex , Alex Kent. Some you of already know me, but some dont. Let me tell you little bit about my self.
I was born on April 28th 1990 at 7:15 am. tongue
Anyway, i was growing up and when the time of a computer came into my life, i saw that crazy ass shooting game (that was something unreal for me that time) Half-Life.
I was only 9-10 years old when i started palying computer games. One of my first games was Half Life than that otehr crazy mod of Half Life - Counter_Strike. Of cause i was not that good, i was jsut a kid who was trying to kill moving subjects;)
I still remember my first map, first team we had scrim with and so on. Furthermore, ive started lanning (Playing LAN TOURNMENTS) back in Russia when i was only 12 years old. Me and my friends always had a good time spending together by playing it as team.

For some of You it would be interesting what is Counter-Strike, so i will give you small defenition of this game .

"Counter-Strike (commonly abbreviated to CS) is a tactical first-person shooter video game which originated from a Half-Life modification by Minh "Gooseman" Le and Jess "Cliffe" Cliffe.

The game has been expanded into a series since its original release, which currently includes Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, Counter-Strike: Source, Counter-Strike: Anthology and Counter-Strike on Xbox.

Counter-Strike pits a team of counter-terrorists against a team of terrorists in a series of rounds. Each round is won by either completing the mission objective or eliminating the opposing force. The latest

incarnation of the game, Counter-Strike: Source, is based on the Source engine developed for Half-Life 2.

The game is currently the most played Half-Life modification in terms of players, according to GameSpy

Counter-Strike was developed first as a Half-Life modification. Therefore named "Half-Life: Counter-Strike". The original version was a 3rd-party Half-Life modification, but since then it has grown into a commercial mod and later advertised as a separate game in itself. It still uses and runs on the Half-Life game engine and is based on its unchanged structure."

Well My fun time wasnt lasting that long, school became as hard thing in my life. Im really bad at math xD So umm.. My mom had to take computer out of a city, so i could study. But of cause computer at my hoem meant nothing to me just because i had in about 4-6 lan clubs aroun that i could go and play. But i promised that i wont. So i quited Counter-Strike when i was 15.
Havent played whole year in that crazy mod, even started to go crazy without fragging people. But recently just 3 years ago i went to usa for college. Afterwards as a college student i needed something to waste my time, so i found goo replacement for Russian lans. Internet game cs 1.6 of cause. I ve created my own team, jsut becausei hated to be in someone's team, its my own. I always liked to have my own team. And i did i created one. Named it Cs All Stars Non Steam clan at that time. Cause never bought that steam and i even never knew about it. Why u ask? Duuude im Russian which means i play lan mostly. Anyaway, by time passed i got steam and got steam members.
We have 3 game servers now, and trying to organize scrim team. Good one not the shitty pub crowd. There is always were people tho who helped me a lot, Firt one was key stone back in time afterwards paleyr named LegendaRy , or Haxorz which is currently in team and in present time my is my co leader Sergeant. He is really the one who helps mostly now. But anyway. Counter-Strike for noobs guide is here! So go ahead and read it carefully. Good luck learning our way!

::::Counter-Strike For noobs:::

Origins

Counter-Strike, the online multi-player phenomenon that burst onto the scene nearly 5 years
ago, remains the number one online FPS today. With nearly 2.5 million people playing a total of 3.84
billion minutes a month, CS can truly be crowned the most poplar multiplayer FPS game of all time.
Why do so many people play it? What does it have that other games don’t? What does it take to
be good at it? These questions I have strived to answer over the last few years of playing this game,
consequently this guide is a compilation of the conclusions I have drawn.
To become good at CS you must have the mental strength, the patience, and above all, the
stomach. CS is defiantly not a game that is easy to pick up and play a top level. Only a handful of
individuals from each country have achieved high levels of success in a relatively short amount of
time while the rest of us have been playing for years. This is one of the first things you should concrete
in your mind before you take on the task of becoming a good CS player. Rome wasn’t built in a
day. It’s going to take months of practice, maybe even years. It all depends on your drive and commitment
to what you’re trying to do. Some people in life will focus all their time, energy, and power
to one specific goal, no matter what it is. I believe these are the kind of people that play at a top
level the quickest, the truly driven. The fastest way to pick something up is to become obsessed.
You also have to realize that the more people that participate in a given activity, the better you
must become. For example, it will be harder for someone to make a final table at the world series of
poker when the starting player count is 2500 rather than a player trying to make a final table when
the starting player count is 500. Seeing as how counter-strike is growing everyday, it will in theory
become harder and harder to become and stay successful at it.

Level Up:

1. The pub stage – This is where everyone starts, at the
bottom of the ladder. This stage occurs normally right after
the game has been purchased until about a maximum of 4
months later. In this stage a player is just learning the basic
objective of the game and user controls. During this stage a
player has little or no desire to play with a team.
Timeframe : installation – 4 months
2. Structured play interest – After about 6 months a player a player normally becomes curious
about structured game play. It is around this time that players join ladders like OGL or perhaps
even entry level leagues like CAL open. Most players are fascinated when they find out they can
play competitively, and if you complete this stage, there is a good chance you will be playing CS for
a while.
Timeframe : 4 months – 1 year
3. Progression – In this stage, players acquire the drive to play to the best of their abilities. When
you see posts on E-sports sites like “How addicted are you to CS?” and “I can’t stop playing”, it is
more than likely the player that posted the thread is in this stage.
Timeframe : 1 year – Indefinite
4. CAL Invite and beyond – For a long time, playing in CAL invite has been B major goal and sole
driving force behind many team. To even make it to that level is a huge accomplishment in itself,
forget sponsorships and other nonsense. Playing in CAL invite has been a cornerstone for CS players
for a long time. As you will see, less than 1% of CAL players currently play at this level.
Timeframe : No guarantees

::::::::::Mouse For Speed::::::::

For all those of you that are still reading, go ahead and load steam. The first thing we want
to do is make sure you have mouse acceleration turned off in game. If you aren’t sure you can go to
control panel > mouse > pointer options and make sure “mouse acceleration” or “enhanced pointer
precision” is unchecked. If you are NOT running Windows XP, then you have completed the task and
you can skip down to ‘Rates’. However, if you are running Windows XP, you aren’t done quiet yet.
There are two ways of doing this. The first method is the registry fix method. I must warn
you, if you use this method you will turn off mouse acceleration in Windows XP and it will turn your
mouse acceleration off for all applications and programs. The second method is a bit more complicated,
but will only affect your CS in game settings as apposed to all of Window’s mouse acceleration
settings.
Method One. Go to ftp://ftp.thecpl.com/mouse_fix.zip and download the file to your desktop.
Unzip the file, double click mousefix.reg, and click ok which adds the values to your registry.
You will need to restart your computer before the changes take effect.
Method Two. To use this method open steam, select games, right click on counter-strike,
select properties, launch options, and input the following commands without quotations : “-noforcemparms
–noforcemspd –noforcemaccel”. Click ok and open CS.
If mouse acceleration was on, you will notice a drastic difference. Your sensitivity will
seem a little slower, but I promise it is better for your aim in the long run.

::::::::::SET RATES::::::::::::::::

Next thing we need to do is check your rates and other settings in game. Load up CS, open
the console, and input the command “cl_cmdrate”. The ideal “command rate” is 101, and is what
I recommend setting this value to. Next type in “cl_updaterate” and set that to 101 as well, hitting
enter after each change. Next command is “rate”. Please make sure this is at least 20,000, if not
you will probably notice choke when playing. If while using these rates you are experiencing heavy
ping spiking, lower your cl_cmdrate by 20 to cl_cmdrate 80. Keep lowering this value until the ping
spiking goes away. If you are experiencing choke, lower your cl_updaterate by 20 until the choke has
gone away. The way you can see if you are getting loss/choke in a server is by enabling your netgraph.
To do this, type the command “net_graph 3” into the console and hit enter. You will be able
to see your choke and loss at the bottom right of your screen.

::::::NEXT:::::::

Find a weapon you really like to use and stick to it. do not change weapons one after another, at least play aday with same weapon to find out more about weapon you play with,. For example spraying, long range shots, medium range shots or clsoe range shots.

:::::::DO IT LAST::::::::

CSDM server that what i would reccomend for oyu to practice. CSDM stands for counter strike death match. This kind of mod will make you skillz grow up more and train you good for a harder enemy. Such as CEvo players CAL Or even cpl. Remember you are a noob right now. But if you will follow my isntructions. You will defenetly will get yo a point!

Btw csdm server that i would strongly recomend to you is :: 64.120.126.130:27045 Die hard server. Its a nice server with no extra plugins.

Good Luck Guys, and thank you for reading! happy
